An Introduction
My name is Venus Harley
I have been a qualified Integrative Counsellor since 2011. I have several years’ experience working as a counsellor and in health and social care.
My professional journey as a counsellor started in primary care within a GP practice. I have worked with the charity SAT (Sebastian’s Action Trust) and have experience in supporting families (either as individuals or couples counselling) through bereavement who may have lost a child or may have a child with a terminal illness.
My other work experiences include working in a school with children with complex educational needs, communication difficulties and challenging behaviour (ADHD, ASD, SEMH).
In recent years I have experience of working with dementia in a health and social care setting within the community and nursing/residential care homes.
